Avonvale Model Flying Club open to new members (including FPV UK members)

Avonvale Model Flying Club“.

Formed in 1962, Avonvale Model Flying Club has an enthusiastic membership of over 80 members. Based on the Ragley Estate near Alcester, they have a dedicated field from which to operate, ideal for all types of models.

We’re very pleased to have recently given Avonvale access to the FPV UK membership number check tool to enable them to verify new members have valid FPV UK membership (and are therefore covered with public liability insurance).

Club membership secretary Jon Haworth contacted FPV UK with the following query “As part of our process for adding new members to the club we always check that they have valid insurance for model flying – usually through the BMFA. This is something that we have admin rights to the BMFA website to enable us to make the necessary checks.

We have an application from a new member who says he has FPV UK Membership. We’re very happy to have him as a club member but I wonder if you could confirm his membership?

Simon Dale, Chief Executive of FPV UK, was very happy to oblige and was able to go a step further, allowing Avonvale to check new member’s numbers are valid whenever required through the FPV UK membership check system.

Simon Dale said “Our online membership number check system allows clubs to check a member’s number is valid whenever they require. Clubs find this very useful.
