FPV UK launches new features. Raises price below inflation rate

On 5th April 2024 FPV UK announced several new features. These include commercial (EC) 785/2004 compliant insurance cover as standard, DroneHub – our new community hub – now linked to your FPV UK account. And My Hangar & My Log Book, two tools to let you log and manage your drones and your flying hours.

FPV UK membership also changed to a tiered pricing model. With Bronze at £24.99, and Silver at £34.99.

This replaces the previous base price of £19.99 which had been in place since 2017.

Key facts:

• The rise from £19.99 to £24.99 over the last seven years, represents a rise of less than inflation. As shown on the Bank of England inflation calculator below.
• FPV UK remains the lowest cost provider, whilst simultaneously having the most features. See our drone insurance comparison table here.
• In the same period, other similar providers have increased their prices significantly more.
• Insurance service costs have increased significantly over the past seven years. Our insurance costs have increased by more than 10x in that period.
