You can now share your planned flights on the map, so other users can see where, when and how high you intend to fly. Other users can also contact you through TheDroneMap.com if they will be flying in the same place at the same time.
Whether you’re flying for fun or planning a job, Flight Reports offers a simple way to let others know what’s happening and improve situational awareness across the airspace.
Flight Reports now show in blue, alongside other airspace and hazards. Just click on one to read the detail, such as date and time, height and description. You can also send a message if you need to liaise with the other pilot. The Flight Reports layer is on by default.
There are three ways to bring up the location menu.
1) You can click the ‘Location marker’ icon in the top-left corner and then click the map.
2) You can long press on the map.
3) You can right click on the map.
In the location menu, click “Add Flight Report +”. Then define your planned flight area using either a circle or a shape, and then enter your flight title, description, maximum height, start date and time, and end date and time. After entering the details, simply click Create Flight Report.
Manage your reports by going to: Profile / Account > Dashboard > Manage Reports. From there, reports can be viewed, edited, updated, or deleted.
Please note: A flight report on TheDroneMap.com does not give permission, authorisation, clearance, or approval to fly. A flight report is not a NOTAM
