Have you changed address since your CAA Operator ID was issued? Have you received a ‘CAA Renewal Failure – Unable to find current registration.’ error in your FPV UK account when your Operator ID renewal was attempted?
If the postcode on your FPV UK account doesn’t match the postcode on the CAA’s system – ie you’ve changed your postcode since your data was first sent to the CAA – then you will need to update the CAA’s system to match your current details.
The good news is that this is a straightforward process. Simply go to ‘My Registration’ on the CAA website here: https://register-drones.caa.co.uk/my-registration and type in your date of birth and your email address.
The CAA system will then email you an access code. Open your email and copy that code.
Then paste the code into the CAA’s login screen.
You will now see the ‘Your registration details‘ screen, complete with your old address.
Press ‘Change’ next to your address and type in your new address. That’s it!
Do not update/ renew your Operator ID in the CAA’s system.
Just let us know that you’ve updated your details so that we can clear the error and retry your CAA drone Operator registration renewal.
Nb. Another possible reason for a mismatch is if your date of birth doesn’t match. If you initially gave us an incorrect date of birth, then subsequently corrected it, the CAA will have the incorrect date and the renewal process will fail due to the mismatch. In this case, login to the CAA’s system using the original (incorrect) date of birth, correct your date of birth on the CAA system, and then let us know so that we can clear the error and retry your renewal.
