My FPV UK account indicates that my CAA Operator ID has expired, even though I have renewed it on the CAA website

Question:

My FPV UK account indicates that my CAA Operator ID has expired, even though I have renewed it on the CAA website.

And/or:

FPV UK has sent me a reminder that my CAA Operator ID has expired, but I have already renewed it on the CAA website.

Answer:

The expiry dates in your FPV UK account are provided by you. If the information is incorrect, you can press the ‘Edit my details’ button to make corrections.

If your expiration date has already passed, we will send you reminders that your details have expired.

There is no automatic connection between the CAA and FPV UK, so renewing your Operator ID on the CAA website will not automatically update your FPV UK account.

However, the FPV UK CAA Registration/Renewal service manages your CAA registration for you, and we keep a record of your current expiration date each time we update it. This means you don’t have to manually update your CAA ID, nor do you have to manually update your FPV UK with the new expiry date.

To add this service to your account, simply log in to your FPV UK account and click on the ‘Add CAA Registration/Renewal‘ button. It is completely free, and you can opt out at any time. We will send you two reminders before each annual renewal.
